The charm of an old country house, meticulous attention to detail and the authentic hospitality of our family. These are the ingredients that make Bric d’Alû the perfect place for a relaxing stay in the Langhe.
A dream, then a project and then our country guest house. Thanks to painstaking renovation work aimed at enhancing the traditional architecture and materials, we have brought an old family farmhouse back to life. History and tradition come together with modern design to offer our guests the utmost in terms of comfort.
The structure is situated in a panoramic position at the entrance to the village of Barbaresco, in a striking setting rich in natural treasures and wonderful restaurants and wineries. You can relax by the pool, letting your eyes wander among the rows of Nebbiolo vines, or set off to explore the local area and experience the countless opportunities it offers.
In Piedmontese dialect, Bric d’Alû means “the lark’s hill” and a lark used to make its nest near the farmhouse every year, marking time and accompanying the simple country life with its song. We chose it as a symbol to indicate the link with the farming roots that have made the Langa region great.

But the real gem of this suite is the Turkish bath, for moments of deep relaxation, surrounded by silence and nature.
“The messenger of dawn” was Shakespeare’s definition of the lark, a little bird that lives in the countryside and sings when it takes flight at daybreak. Closely linked to the land and agriculture, it is the symbol of our farmhouse and gives its name to this suite.

We have dedicated this room to the great tit, a very common species easily recognised by its elegant livery. It is a bird with a lively character and is happy to be approached by humans.
